A picturesque stop along the journey, the atmosphere was welcoming, enhanced by warm, friendly locals. Breakfast stood out with an impressive selection, including delightful scones. evening taxi availability was limited, making return trips challenging, and the bar closed earlier than expected. The room, while comfortable, could benefit from minor updates to match the charming historic vibe.

cozy, cozy, cozy
I enjoyed a night in a Family Suite with Private External Bathroom, where the room was warm and comfortable—perfect for recovering after a race. The breakfast was a delightful treat, offering everything from haggis to porridge, all cooked to perfection. The highlights of my evening included dining in a bar with a roaring fire, where I felt the warmth not just from the fire but also from the welcoming locals.
100% recommend 😊❤️

The bar staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
We faced a disappointing experience with breakfast. Fresh fruit was nearly empty, and when I requested replenishment, I was informed there was none left. the only available coffee options were limited to instant sachets, which felt inadequate for a place of this caliber. The noise from nearby guests during the night also disrupted our sleep significantly.

Couple seeking a cozy place
The room was spacious and had a really nice decor. A big comfy bed that let me recuperate from my long walks. Dinner was great too,, specially the haggis I had with my full Scottish breakfast was a good surprise that I didn't see coming.
It was a bit pricey but you know, for the quality we got, I guess it was fair enough.

The noise from nearby guests at 2 AM was disruptive, making sleep a challenge. Breakfast options were limited, with no fresh fruit replenishment and only basic coffee sachets available. the location is about 1.5 miles from the official end of the Pennine Way, creating an extra trek for those walking the trail.

I stayed for a short getaway and was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and decor of the Executive King Room. What stood out the most was the quality of the breakfast. the selection was impressive and everything tasted great. Despite some noise issues from karaoke, it was a cozy spot to unwind after exploring nearby attractions like holm Loch.

Just an optimal selection for a short stayover in Kirk holm with extraordinarily good value for money. The fresh fish and chips were a highlight during dinner, well prepared and presented. Make sure to try the Cullen Skink if you get the chance.
